  James Howarth With His "Victory Cheque"   At the recent BREAM Qualifier held on the majestic Clarence River, Nordic Stage Team Member James Howarth managed to fish his way to 4th place in a very respectable field of 56 anglers. In his own words he was "stoked" with this performance as many of the big names in Australian Bream fishing were present. Not only did this placing secure James a place in this years Grand Final... James, using his Nordic Stage Areal consistantly produced meeting his max bag quota and getting a few kickers to boot over the course of the weekend. Yesterday, Saturday the 21st of June heralded the kick off to Round 10 of the Hobie Kayak Bream Series..   Weighing in a bag of 4 fish James Howarth is sitting stable in first place with a bit of room to breath. James secured this position fishing his Nordic Stage Areal Sharpshooter flicking finesse lures such as 2 inch Z-Man Grubs and Eco Gear SX-40's.   The leader board after day one...   James's bag for the day totalled 2.55KG's and sends him into day 2 with a decent lead. Andrew Baunach, Nordic Stage Australias pro bass angler finished up in the top 10 in the recent Tonic Somerset Slam round of the BASS Nation tournaments.     This new tournament has attrached the very best Austria has to offer from a bass fishing perspective and it is awesome see Team Nordic Stage well and truly repping on the leader board. Congratulations to James Howarth for his 6th place finish in the weekends Top Gun Event held on the Gold Coast. James made this placing with 5 fish bag weighing in at 2.56 KG.     Fish on the Gold Coast are plentiful but fickle seeing every lure made by man on a regular basis. It is a real credit to anglers like James Howarth that they can continue to do well in such an environment. Lurs aside it has been remarked in the past that the highly sensitive nature of the Nordic Stage Areal range has helped many a time in pinning very finnicky, soft hitting fish. Read more

Winter Bream Series Round 1: Nordic Stage Place 3rd

    After a close fought battle and lead position in day, James Howarth and Luke Rogan fishing as team TT Lures/Nordic Stage Rods finoshed up 3rd place overall in the 1st round of the Winter Bream Series with a hefty bag of 10 bream weighing in a 5.49KG's. Unlike dat one, day two forced the anglers to look around a bit more for the fish targeting everything from rock walls and moor boats to pontoons and the flats. James Howarth fished a Nordic Stage Areal Sharpshooter matched with a Daiwa Steez for most of his captures. Read more

Winter Series: Nordic Stage Lead After Day One!

  Congratulations to James Howarth and Luke Rogan, fishing as team TT Lure and Nordic Stage Rods for finishing up in first place after day one of the Winter Series competition on this weekend.     Collectively James and Luke pulled together a bag of fish measuring 36.5cm, 36cm, 34cm, 31cm  and 30.5cm to the fork. Over the weekend the lads from the Tasmanian Nordic Stage Bream team went to battle against the legendary Tasmanian Black Bream in the Swan River. Josh Williams and Nigel Harris, armed with their Nordic Stage Areal Jaegers and Sharpshooters did well, managing to extract many a fish from tight terrain and the always favourite racks.   A nice Tasmanian Black from the racks!   The team ended up with a bag of 5 on both days of the competition weighing 4. During the recent Gold Coast round of the KFT (Kayak Fishing Tournament), Justin Desmarchelier took out 1st place using his brand new Nordic Stage Areal Pro... As an unafiliated angler we wanted to know what his motivations and opinions were concerning this rod.     1. What attrached you to the Areal pro in the first place? In the recent Easter Bream Classic held on the Gold Coast, the Nordic Stage sponsored bream lads did extremely well bagging none other than 1st place in tough conditions against a tough field.     As a team, Nabeel Issa and Kendall Soo fished canals off the Broadwater in search of their quarry. Their plan was to throw various hard bodied lures and the new Cranka Crabs around the numerous pontoons and in general avoid the wind which would make this competition problematic for many anglers. A big congratulations goes out to Nordic Stage team member James Howarth on coming 2nd over the weekend in the Gold Coast round of the Kayak Fishing Tournaments (KFT). James took out this placing using his trusty Nordic Stage Areal and Daiwa Steez loaded with 4lb fluro straight through. Lures of choice were Eco Gear SX40's and Cranka Cranks.     James's bream measured in at 33cm, 28cm, 27cm, 26cm and another 26cm fish to the fork and this total score only kept off first place by 5mm! It must be noted that winning angler, Justin Desmarchelier toook out the top spot using a brand new Nordic Stage Areal Pro!   The KFT events have been attracting great numbers and some quality anglers so as a brand we are extremely happy to see this sort of representation.     On the 6th of March 2014, over 80 anglers attended the 2014 Summer Classic, hosted by Davos Tackle World Noosa and proudly sponsored by Nordic Stage. The event was a great success for Nordic Stage with it not only heralding the launch of two new ranges into the country (Nordic Stage Areal pro and Dynamic F1), but also the capturing of some serious fish on Nordic Stage gear.     The overall placings for the comp ended up being: 1st Place: Tim Milat 2nd Place: Eli Johns 3rd Place Andrew Boyd Tim Milat and Andrew boyd fished the competition with Nordic Stage rods!   Both Andrew and Eli had some great bags of fish including Flathead, Jacks, Trevally, Whiting and Bream.
